About The Position
We are seeking an Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The role requires floating to different departments as needed. Standard shifts include mids from 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM, 12:00 PM to 12:30 AM, and 2:00 PM to 2:30 AM, and day shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM and 9:00 AM to 9:30 PM. Orientation is billable and takes place on the first day. A weekend commitment of three weekends in a four-week period is required. Holiday shifts may be scheduled during major holidays, with limited time-off options during those periods. Up to 14 days of requested time off, including up to four weekend shifts, may be accommodated; all requests must be submitted with the application. Candidates should reside at least 50 miles outside Fairbanks. Free housing is available for one occupant, but pet units are not available.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience as an Emergency Room Registered Nurse in a trauma level 1–3 facility.
- At least 1 year of experience as an internal staff RN.
- Previous travel experience.
- Active Alaska nursing license.
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications.
- Reside 50 miles or more outside of Fairbanks.
