About The Position

Care for our community, and your career. This position requires a high school level of knowledge. Previous experience or graduation from a Nursing Assistant or EMT program is preferred. BLS certification is required or must be obtained within 3 months of hire or transfer. Licensing: Proof of Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification from an approved institution or training program is preferred. Unless otherwise indicated, one year of current experience within the last three years in a comparable job classification is required. The role involves working effectively with others, possessing tact, discretion, and diplomacy. The ability to work under stress and complete duties, sometimes with numerous interruptions, is essential. Must be able to communicate information to supervisors and co-workers. Familiarity with equipment used to move patients and take vital signs is necessary. Ability to understand printed health-related material is required. Completion of a hospital-based internship, which includes coursework and clinical time up to 6 weeks along with demonstrated proficiencies in phlebotomy and EKG, is part of the role.
