About The Position

Skilled Wound Care, a premier national physician group, is hiring Emergency Medicine Physicians in Vallejo, CA to work as wound care physicians and lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities across the area. This no-call, no-nights Emergency Medicine Physician job offers a high-impact career without the corporate red tape. This is a true Monday–Friday daytime physician job, so you can finally keep a regular sleep schedule and be home for your family. You will keep using your procedural skills, as surgical debridement and bedside procedures are part of your daily practice. You will work in a calmer clinical setting, leaving behind crowded waiting rooms, boarding patients and the safety concerns of the modern ED. You will see patients heal and build lasting relationships, instead of treating them once and never learning what happened. You will have clinical autonomy, directing patient outcomes based on your clinical expertise, not throughput metrics, satisfaction scores or a staffing company. Our custom software is designed to slash admin time, so you’re not stuck charting after your shift ends.

Requirements

Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution
Medical License: Unrestricted/clear medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain one)
DEA License: Or eligibility to obtain one
Open Background: We welcome Emergency Medicine physicians, as well as surgeons of all backgrounds and Family Medicine and Internal Medicine physicians.
No previous wound care experience is required; we provide comprehensive wound care training

Responsibilities

Use the latest advancements in wound healing to change lives in communities across Vallejo, CA
Surgical and sharp debridement and other bedside procedures
Evaluation and treatment of chronic, non-healing and complex wounds
Advanced dressings and specialized wound protocols
Collaborative care in skilled nursing facilities and the post-acute setting, where you follow patients through healing
