About The Position

This is a locum tenens position for an Emergency Medicine Physician in Meridian, MS. The role involves providing clinical coverage in a hospital-based emergency department with high-acuity patients. The physician will evaluate and treat emergency department patients, perform moderate sedation and emergency procedures, supervise or provide backup for NP and PA providers, document patient encounters, and coordinate multidisciplinary care. The goal is to deliver high-quality, patient-centered emergency care.

Requirements

• Active Mississippi Medical License
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in EM, FM, or IM
• Active DEA with Mississippi Address and Applicable Schedules
• ACLS, ATLS, and PALS if not EM Board Certified or EM Trained
• Over 2,000 ED or Acute Care Contact Hours Within the Past 2 Years
• Completed 3-Year EM, FM, or IM Residency
• 40 CME Hours in Previous 2 Years
• Case Logs for Previous 2 Years
• Supervising/Backup Physician for NP/PAs
