Emergency Medicine Physician
About The Position
This is a Locum Tenens position in Obstetrics & Gynecology at an Inpatient facility in St. Louis, MO. The role is for supplemental coverage from August 1st onwards, focusing on clinical duties only. The physician will work 30-40 shifts per month, covering the OB ED. The average daily patient volume is 40-60 patients, and admissions and rounding are required. The facility has a Trauma Level I and Facility PEDS Level I, with 12 beds and an available L&D department. The physician will provide 24/7 coverage with APP support for 18 hours a day. Duties include evaluating patients who are pregnant up to 6 weeks post-partum. The physician will also be required to supervise APPs.
Requirements
- Active MO License or IMLC
- BC/BE
- BLS
- ACLS
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients who are pregnant up to 6 weeks post partum
- Perform Low & high-risk pregnancy procedures
- Perform FHR interpretation - NST/CST/FSE
- Perform OB Ultrasounds - Performance of, interpretation: Level I/Screening (viability) & Level II/Targeted (anatomic), Amniocentesis
- Perform Routine & Complicated delivery
- Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
- Perform Surgical gynecology: Laparoscopic diagnostic/minor only - tubal ligation, LOA's, chronal tubation
