About The Position
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner specializing in Emergency Medicine for a Locum Tenens position in Newburyport, MA. This role is based in a hospital setting and involves clinical coverage only. The coverage period is from October 5, 2026, to January 4, 2027. Mileage and lodging will be covered for this assignment.
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts License
- Board-Certified in Emergency Medicine
- Active Massachusetts DEA
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Medicine experience
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients of all ages in a 24/7 emergency department setting.
- Manage acute and urgent care patients, including trauma, fast track, and medical emergencies.
- Perform and interpret diagnostic tests, order medications, and develop treatment plans.
- Collaborate with board-certified emergency physicians and multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
- Document patient encounters accurately in Epic EMR and adhere to hospital protocols.
