About The Position
We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for a locum tenens position in Kingsport, Tennessee. This role involves providing emergency department coverage in a collaborative, physician-led practice at a high-acuity community hospital. The NP/PA will be responsible for comprehensive emergency care, working 12-hour shifts alongside Emergency Medicine physicians. Key duties include conducting clinical assessments, performing diagnostic evaluations, initiating treatment plans, and maintaining thorough documentation. Adherence to facility credentialing and privileging requirements is essential.
Requirements
- AANP or ANCC certification required (Board Certified)
- Active TN RN License
- TN NP License
- TN DEA Registration with Tennessee address
- Prescriptive Authority
- ACLS required
- PALS required
- Preeclampsia-Eclampsia CME
- Case logs from past 2 years
- MMR/Varicella immunity documentation
- TB test
Nice To Haves
- 2 years recent Emergency Medicine experience preferred
