About The Position
The Emergency Department – NP/PA APP position at UNC Health Blue Ridge in Morganton and Valdese focuses on providing excellent care using advanced technology to diagnose and treat health concerns before they become serious or life-threatening. UNC Health Blue Ridge hospitals are dedicated to promoting wellness and meeting lifetime healthcare needs through comprehensive, high-quality, and cost-effective services. The Morganton facility, formerly Grace Hospital, has a 29-bed Emergency Room, is a Level 3 Trauma Center, and handles approximately 32,000 visits annually. The Valdese facility is a full-service, 24-hour freestanding Emergency Department with approximately 20,000 visits annually. Both facilities utilize Epic as their EMR system and offer comprehensive subspecialty support.
Requirements
- NC PA/NP license
- NPs must be ENP boarded or eligible
- BLS
- ACLS before starting
- Must obtain ATLS after starting
- Training depends on experience level
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent care using advanced technology to diagnose and treat health concerns.
- Work in a 29-bed Emergency Room at a Level 3 Trauma Center (Morganton).
- Work in a full-service, 24-hour freestanding Emergency Department (Valdese).
- Collaborate with physicians and other APPs in a combined coverage model.
- Provide comprehensive subspecialty support.
- Utilize Epic EMR system.
