About The Position

The University of Florida, Department of Emergency Medicine, is seeking exceptional board-certified or board-eligible Emergency Medicine physicians to join our faculty. This search supports the continued growth of our clinical services across UF Health and the State of Florida, offering a clear path to build a career in education, research, and clinical leadership. The Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Florida-Gainesville is an independent academic department within the College of Medicine, committed to training medical students, residents, and fellows to become superior clinicians, educators, researchers, and leaders in emergency medicine. Successful candidates will join our growing department in a non-tenure-accruing position at the rank of Clinical Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. You will become part of a group of more than 60 full-time EM faculty, 13 fellows, 42 residents, and over 200 department members supporting the expansion of clinical services. The UF Department of Emergency Medicine proudly maintains an affiliation with UF Health Shands Hospital, a 1,162-bed teaching facility renowned for its Level 1 trauma center and cutting-edge burn center. As the primary referral center for North Central Florida, our institution stands as a beacon of excellence in healthcare.

Requirements

All physicians must be ABEM/ABOEM Board Certified or Board-Eligible.
Candidates must be eligible for a medical staff appointment and clinical privileges under the UF Health Shands Hospital Medical Staff Bylaws.
Eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Florida.

Nice To Haves
