About The Position
Seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for locum tenens coverage in Emergency Medicine at a facility in Hancock, MI. This role involves providing clinical-only coverage for patients of all ages in an outpatient/inpatient setting. The coverage period is from September 4, 2026, to September 13, 2026, with potential for additional coverage. The average daily patient volume is 36, with approximately 3 admissions per day. The APP will work alongside ED physicians and ED RN support, utilizing the MediTech EMR system. Hospital privileges are required, with temporary privileges available. The credentialing timeline is approximately 30 days.
Requirements
- Board Certified/Board Eligible (BC/BE)
- Valid MI License
- BLS Certification
- Ability to treat patients of all ages
Responsibilities
- Provide emergency medical care to patients of all ages.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations and order appropriate tests.
- Collaborate with ED physicians and nursing staff.
- Manage acute conditions and stabilize patients.
- Document patient encounters in MediTech EMR.
