About The Position

Outstanding opportunity for a high-energy, experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the staff of dynamic, highly regarded ED practitioners at Longwood Specialty Physicians (LSP) at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Plymouth, in Plymouth, Massachusetts as an Advanced Practice Provider. The role involves providing direct patient care relative to physical diagnosis and therapeutic management for patients in the Emergency Department, working under the supervision of a licensed physician. The hospital is a 170-bed acute care community hospital serving over 250,000 residents, with a 45-bed ED featuring dedicated Fast Track and a separate Behavioral Health unit. LSP is a network of practitioners committed to community care, associated with Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians (HMFP) and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), offering access to innovative research, advanced education, and a network of over 680 providers.

Requirements

Master's degree in Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner
Massachusetts state licensure
MA Board authorization to practice licensure
American Heart Association - Basic Life Support Certificate and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
Valid prescriptive authority from both the MA DPH-DCP and Federal DEA
Experience working in an Emergency Department or Urgent Care Center
Competency in provision of care to patients of all ages

Nice To Haves

Certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred but not required

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care relative to physical diagnosis and therapeutic management for patients in the Emergency Department working under the supervision of a licensed physician.
Patient management and physician support in main ED
Manage Fast Track and BHU patients
