About The Position

Reporting under the EMS portfolio, the EMT-P (Advanced Care Paramedic) will provide quality patient care within health care facilities under the Saskatchewan Health Authority. This position will assess and appropriately treat all patients, ensure respect, confidentiality and integrity, and ensure that the standards and policies of the Saskatchewan Health Authority are employed at all times while working within a team environment. This position is responsible to prepare and submit reports, clean and restock working areas, and ensure a complete and thorough knowledge of all equipment, supplies, and medications. Requirements

  • Advanced Care Paramedic Diploma (ACP)
  • Valid Class 4 driver's license
  • Automated External Defibrillator Certificate (AED)
  • Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) Certificate
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR)
  • Pre-Hospital Care Program - Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) Level
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Registered/eligible with Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at ACP/EMT-P

  • Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement
  • ICP or a PCP may also be considered for the position
