About The Position

Reporting to the Manager of Primary Health Care in Regina, the ACP Coordinator is an integral member of the Health Network collaborative team. Responsibilities include leadership, quality improvement, development of work standards, and coordinating best practices applicable to patient clinical care and safety in a community setting. The Coordinator will provide visible, proactive leadership and education while promoting the delivery of client-centered care through educational programming and leadership. While mentoring, supervising, and coordinating care, the Coordinator will identify learning needs through collaborative ongoing quality improvement, planning, implementation, evaluation, and quality assurance.

Requirements

  • Valid Class 4 driver's license
  • Advanced Care Paramedic Diploma (ACP)
  • Registered/eligible with Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at ACP/EMT-P
  • Knowledge of Primary Health Care and Community Paramedicine
  • Ability to establish/maintain satisfactory working relationships
  • Ability to apply research to clinical practice
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at various stages according to priorities
  • Demonstrates ability in teaching, facilitation and group activities
  • Ability to integrate clinical knowledge and experience into clinical practice
  • Thorough knowledge of the EMS provincial protocols
  • Ability to prepare reports in a clear, concise and timely manner
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing workload
  • Knowledge, application and operation of equipment related to the practice of EMS
  • Success working in the community as a paramedic integrated in Health Networks
