About The Position

Aspen Valley Health is hiring a PRN Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) in its Aspen Ambulance department. The EMT administers care to sick and injured people in pre-hospital and interfacility settings, as directed by paramedics, local protocols, and physician orders. The role responds to emergency calls, assesses situations, obtains basic medical histories and performs physical examinations, and provides emergency care at the scene and during transport to the hospital. The position has a rotating work shift. PRN employees may purchase discounted bus passes for transportation to and from work, participate in a 457B plan, and take part in AVH-hosted programs. Requirements

Unrestricted license to practice as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) in Colorado, or ability to obtain one before the start date.
Completion of a CDPHE-recognized IV Approval course.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; may be obtained upon hire.
Current driver's license, or ability to obtain one before the start date, with at least three years of driving experience and an acceptable motor vehicle record.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual in Spanish.
Advanced EMT or Paramedic qualification.

Responsibilities
