About The Position
Newberry County Memorial Hospital is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (EMT-B) on an as-needed basis. The EMT-B provides life support within their scope of practice to critically ill and injured patients and transports patients to a medical facility. The position is with Newberry County Memorial Hospital, a 90-bed, acute care, independent, not-for-profit community hospital in Newberry County, South Carolina.
Requirements
- South Carolina Certified EMT-B.
- Current BLS certification, or the ability to obtain it within 60 days of employment.
- Continued education through in-services, seminars, in-house hospital education, and technical school, with a focus on improved patient care topics and Paramedic courses.
Nice To Haves
- Prior EMT experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide life support to critically ill and injured patients in accordance with the EMT-B scope of practice.
- Transport patients to a medical facility.
