About The Position

This position is responsible for coordinating emergency medical services within Kern County. The examination process includes an oral exam to assess training, education, experience, interest, and personal fitness. Successful candidates will be placed on an eligible list for appointments at Public Health. Requirements

• Possession of a valid paramedic license issued by the State EMS Authority.
• Four (4) years of experience in the pre-hospital emergency medical care field.
• Must be able to obtain a current Kern County Paramedic accreditation prior to the completion of the probationary period.
• A valid Class C California Driver's License is required at the time of appointment.
• Valid government-issued photograph identification for examination admittance.
• Background check may be conducted.
• May be required to submit to post offer medical and drug screening tests.
