Emergency Medical Care Technician Fundamentals – Adjunct Faculty – Traditional Campus (Fall 2026) – College of Natural Sciences
About The Position
The College of Natural Sciences at Grand Canyon University (GCU) is seeking passionate and engaging adjunct faculty to teach part-time, face-to-face instruction at our Phoenix campus. This role involves facilitating classroom lectures and discussions, engaging students in learning course objectives, assessing student performance, and mentoring student success. The ideal candidate will support the University's mission and values, serving as a positive example to students. The course, Emergency Medical Care Technician Fundamentals, is designed to equip participants with the essential knowledge and skills to function effectively as Emergency Medical Care Technicians (EMCTs) in various emergency situations. It combines theoretical learning with hands-on practical training, covering EMS systems, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, assessment techniques, patient care procedures, and communication skills.
Requirements
- MD, DO, RN, or PA licensure or degree with at least 2 years of experience providing emergency medical services, or a Bachelor's degree in any field and an Emergency Medical Care Technician (EMCT) certification
- Unofficial transcript reflecting degree earned with 18 graduate credit hours in the areas listed above
- Unofficial transcripts for any applicable conferred graduate degrees
Nice To Haves
- MD, DO, RN, or PA licensure or degree with at least 2 years of experience providing emergency medical services, or a Master's degree in any field and an Emergency Medical Care Technician (EMCT) certification with at least 2 years of experience at that classification of EMCT.
