The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking an Emergency Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Coordinator to join its Global Surge Team (GST). The GST is a roster of experienced professionals who deploy on short notice to support the IRC's mission in humanitarian crises. This role provides leadership and management oversight to develop and achieve MEAL commitments in emergency contexts. The coordinator will be responsible for ensuring data and learning are used for continuous improvement in emergency response program quality and evidence-based program design. This includes conducting rapid multi-sector needs assessments and building/using MEAL systems. A key aspect of the role is supporting the transfer of responsibilities and knowledge to long-term staff to ensure program continuity. The position also involves providing technical assistance, facilitating capacity sharing, and mentoring IRC and partner staff in MEAL concepts.
