Requirements

  • Minimum 6 months of experience in a food production, food manufacturing, commercial kitchen, warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, or fulfillment environment preferred.
  • Ability to maintain consistent quality, accurate portioning, labeling, and packaging standards.
  • Excellent attendance, punctuality, and strong work ethic.
  • Positive attitude with the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable adjusting to changing priorities while maintaining productivity and accuracy.
  • Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices is preferred. Training is provided.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Food Handler Permit in accordance with state regulations.
  • Ability to stand and work in a cold freezer environment for extended periods.
  • Perform repetitive hand, wrist, and arm movements throughout the shift.
  • Frequently use hands and fingers to handle food products, packaging materials, and equipment.
  • Reach, bend, twist, and lift throughout the workday.
  • Safely lift, carry, push, and pull up to 60 pounds.
  • Wear required PPE, including hairnets, gloves, smocks, and other food safety equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately bag freezer meals following established recipes, portion guidelines, and packaging specifications.
  • Measure ingredients and completed meals using scales to ensure proper portion sizes.
  • Operate sealing equipment to securely seal meal bags and prevent leaks or spoilage.
  • Apply labels accurately and consistently to ensure proper product identification.
  • Inspect meals for quality, appearance, and packaging integrity before they move to fulfillment.
  • Maintain organized workstations to promote an efficient production flow.
  • Notify supervisors of any quality concerns or production issues.
  • Follow all Safe Quality Food (SQF) standards, food safety procedures, sanitation requirements, and company policies.
  • Maintain proper hygiene practices, including handwashing and required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Keep workstations, equipment, and storage areas clean, organized and inspection-ready.
  • Work closely with production and fulfillment team members to meet daily production goals.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers to ensure an efficient workflow.
  • Adapt to changing production priorities throughout the shift.
  • Follow all workplace safety policies and procedures.
  • Immediately report equipment issues, safety hazards, or workplace incidents to leadership.
