About The Position

An Emergency Management (EM) Support Analyst provides support to the Emergency Management technical training school with equipment and training range safety. In this specific role, the EM support analyst will assist primary equipment custodians with the maintenance/inventory of equipment accounts and assist as primary Range Safety Officer (RSO).

Requirements

  • 6 years or more CBRN defense, disaster preparedness, emergency management related field experience or 10 years or more field experience required.
  • SECRET Clearance
  • Intermediate Level Excel Skills (Data Entry, Formulas).
  • Acute attention to detail & strong organizational skills.
  • Willingness to work with constantly changing priorities.
  • A current passport is required or must be acquired within the first 90 days of starting the position.

Responsibilities

  • Organize, track, issue, and inventory training equipment items and consumables, and perform inspection and functional maintenance including drop-off/pickup of equipment from the Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory in accordance with technical orders and guidance
  • Establish/maintain ARIS inventories.
  • Organize, track, inventory, issue, and coordinate laundering for student training personal protective equipment/individual protective equipment.
  • Schedule/track training for other flight RSOs.
  • Coordinate with range operations to schedule training ranges in accordance with course requirements.
  • Assist instructors with student safety during field operations, to include performing safety multi-instructor requirements functions.
  • Develop safety briefings in accordance with range safety office guidelines.
  • Act as primary building custodian and fire marshal for all buildings at designated training area.
  • Coordinate range maintenance, to include tick drags and basic lawn care.
  • Operate government owned vehicles/equipment to perform prescribed duties.
  • Make corrections to instructional material and coordinate changes with the Training Development Section and assist with course development projects (including distance learning courses) as required.
  • Coordinate with the AFEM School Superintendent, IS, and instructor cadre to develop and continually improve the Apprentice Course Capstone Exercise Script (ACCES) to include establishing the capability at the simulated airfield to implement the exercise.
  • Additional duties and obligations outlined in the EM Support PWS, and assignments delegated by the LAUKOA Contract Task Lead or LAUKOA Supervisor
