About The Position

Aalis Management Consulting is seeking a Procurement Analyst to support a Federal Agency's Regional Contracting Office in New Orleans, Louisiana. This role supports procurement management operations by analyzing acquisition data, monitoring compliance, and providing recommendations to improve procurement processes and operational effectiveness. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in federal procurement, DoD acquisition policy, and data analysis. This position requires exceptional communication skills and the ability to support stakeholders across multiple organizational levels.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Law, Contracts, Purchasing, Economics, Industrial Management, Marketing, Quantitative Methods, Organizational Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of direct federal procurement experience in a GS-1102 series (or equivalent) role.
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense procurement and acquisition programs.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and present procurement data effectively.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen for consideration.
  • Must possess a government security clearance (Secret).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with federal procurement reporting and metrics.
  • Knowledge of acquisition systems and procurement databases.
  • DAWIA or FAC-C certification.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze procurement and acquisition data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Support procurement management initiatives and policy implementation efforts.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports related to procurement performance.
  • Conduct research and fact-finding activities to support resolution of procurement issues.
  • Develop recommendations and action plans to address operational challenges.
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to stakeholders regarding procurement processes.
  • Monitor compliance with FAR, DFARS, and DoD policies and procedures.
  • Assist with developing presentations, reports, and executive briefings.
  • Collaborate with contracting personnel and leadership to improve acquisition operations.
