Emergency Management Operations Coordinator
About The Position
The Emergency Management Operations Coordinator supports the coordination and execution of emergency management operations across all mission areas - preparedness, planning, response, recovery, and mitigation. This position focuses on coordinating field operations and providing operational support within the Emergency Operations Center (EOC), which includes mobile command post activities during incidents. The role also leads the development, implementation, and oversight of the County’s Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) program to support emergency response, situational awareness, and damage assessment.
Requirements
- Experience in emergency management operations.
- Knowledge of preparedness, planning, response, recovery, and mitigation.
- Experience coordinating field operations.
- Experience providing operational support within an Emergency Operations Center (EOC).
- Experience with mobile command post activities.
- Experience leading the development, implementation, and oversight of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) programs.
- Ability to support emergency response, situational awareness, and damage assessment using UAS.
