About The Position

The Animal Medical Center of Seattle is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our Emergency & ICU team. AMCS is a 24/7 Emergency and Specialty hospital serving the greater Seattle area with services including Emergency/Critical Care, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Neurology, and Diagnostic Imaging. Requirements

  • Active Washington State LVT license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
  • ER, ICU, or specialty experience preferred
  • Strong technical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-acuity environment
  • Interest in continued learning and professional development

  • While emergency experience is preferred, we are willing to train and invest in the right candidate who is motivated to grow in emergency and specialty medicine.

Responsibilities

  • Triage and assessment of incoming emergency patients
  • Nursing care and continuous monitoring for critically ill and hospitalized patients
  • Administering medications, fluid therapy, blood products, and advanced treatments
  • Assisting with emergency procedures, diagnostics, anesthesia, and sedation
  • Performing laboratory sample collection, testing, and radiology support
  • Maintaining accurate medical records and patient documentation
  • Communicating clearly and compassionately with clients throughout the patient stay
  • Collaborating closely with ER doctors, specialists, and fellow support staff to provide efficient patient care
  • Supporting a clean, organized, and well-stocked treatment environment
