Emergency Liaison- LVT or Assistant
About The Position

In this role, you’ll help guide pet owners through their pet’s emergency care journey while supporting our medical team in delivering outstanding treatment. As an Emergency Liaison, you’ll support communication between our emergency team and pet owners. This role is essential in helping clients understand treatment plans, costs, and updates while ensuring smooth coordination within the hospital.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience as a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) or Veterinary Assistant
- Strong communication and client service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced emergency environment
- Compassionate and team-oriented mindset
Responsibilities
- Present treatment estimates following doctor consultations
- Review consent forms, estimate ranges, and potential medical risks with clients
- Update and implement hospital or outpatient charges
- Provide owners with updates on their pet’s condition and current invoices during hospitalization
- Coordinate consultations, diagnostics, and communications within departments
- Facilitate communication between the ER team and front desk staff
- Manage the emergency message center and ensure prescriptions are filled promptly
- Assist with patient discharge instructions and paperwork
- Support client visitation and end-of-life care discussions when needed
- Assist the medical team with treatments or technical tasks when available
