About The Position
Hawks Prairie Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join their team. This is a full-time position focused on providing high-quality patient care in a supportive and collaborative environment. The hospital is a six-doctor small animal practice that emphasizes teamwork, professional growth, and a positive work culture. The role involves supporting various aspects of veterinary care, including patient handling, diagnostics, surgical assistance, and client communication, all while upholding the highest standards of patient care and supporting colleagues.
Requirements
- Current Licensed Veterinary Technician credential

Responsibilities
- Provide safe and effective patient handling and restraint
- Support preventative care, vaccines, and client education
- Provide attentive induction, monitoring, and recovery of surgical patients
- Support emergency and surgical care, including IV catheter placement and intubation
- Obtain diagnostics, including radiographs, phlebotomy, sample collection, and in-house lab work
- Perform dental cleanings and dental radiographs
- Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients and team members
- Maintain clear and concise documentation of patient records and client interactions
