About The Position

MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center is seeking a PRN Emergency General Surgeon to join its premier surgical team in Mason City, IA. This dynamic, high-volume, technologically advanced practice offers the full spectrum of surgical services. The practice includes a team of 3 General Surgeons, 1 Acute/Trauma General Surgeon, and 2 PA’s. This PRN position offers very flexible scheduling with 24-hour shifts (12 in house; 12 call). The EMR system used is EPIC. MercyOne North Iowa General Surgery offers advanced, minimally invasive surgical care using state-of-the-art endoscopic and laparoscopic techniques. Requirements

Graduate of a medical/osteopathic medical school is required.
Demonstrated competency as a physician by completion of an appropriate residency program
Must be able to obtain Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa medical staff privileges.
Above average communication skills.
Ability to work with a team.
Licensed or eligible for State of Iowa physician license; Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate and Federal DEA Certificate.
