About The Position

The NMSU Police Department is seeking an Emergency Dispatcher to answer calls for service (911 emergencies and non-emergency assistance) and radio dispatch law enforcement, fire services, and emergency medical services agencies primarily on the NMSU campus. This role involves coordinating emergency resources/services during regional critical incidents, sensitive data entry for the regional Computer Aided Dispatch System (CAD), the National Crime Information Center (NCIC), and various other databases. The dispatcher will also monitor campus-wide video cameras and various campus-wide alarm systems (security/intrusion, fire, and panic/duress alarms). Additionally, this position is responsible for emergency notification system messaging (CLERY Compliance), coordinating messages for department personnel from community members, and serving as the primary receptionist for the department's lobby area.

Requirements

• High School diploma + 3 years of relevant experience or an Associate's Degree + 1 year of relevant experience
