About The Position

The NMSU Police Department is seeking an Emergency Dispatcher to answer calls for service (911 emergencies and non-emergency assistance) and radio dispatch law enforcement, fire services, and emergency medical services agencies primarily on the NMSU campus. This role involves coordinating emergency resources/services during regional critical incidents, sensitive data entry for the regional Computer Aided Dispatch System (CAD), the National Crime Information Center (NCIC), and various other databases. The dispatcher will also monitor campus-wide video cameras, various campus-wide alarm systems (security/intrusion, fire, and panic/duress alarms), and be responsible for emergency notification system messaging (CLERY Compliance). Additionally, this position coordinates messages for department personnel from community members and serves as the primary receptionist for the department's lobby area, assisting community members with public safety needs.

Requirements

• High School diploma + 3 years of relevant experience or an Associate's Degree + 1 year of relevant experience
