About The Position

Trinity Health Of New England is seeking an Emergency Department Tech to join the team at Johnson Memorial Hospital. The role assists physicians in providing care to patients with a variety of medical conditions. The position is part-time, scheduled for 24 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts, and includes working every other weekend and holidays as scheduled.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass drug screenings and background checks.
• Current CPR/Basic Life Support certification.

Nice To Haves

• American Red Cross certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document care in patients’ electronic health records (EHR).
• Provide basic nursing care, including assistance with activities of daily living, routine specimen collection, vital signs, and recording intake, output, and weight.
• Perform procedures and treatments, including EKGs and point-of-care testing, and apply restraints while monitoring patients’ responses; provide constant observation as assigned.
• Perform tasks delegated by the Registered Nurse.
• Communicate routinely with the Registered Nurse and promptly report findings or concerns.
• Recognize problems, identify probable causes, and seek solutions to resolve them.
• Educate patients and family members to support a clear understanding of the care being provided.
