About The Position

Trinity Health Of New England is seeking an Emergency Department Tech to join the team at Johnson Memorial Hospital. The role assists physicians while providing treatment to patients with a variety of medical conditions. The position is full-time, 36 hours per week, on 12-hour night shifts, with every other weekend and holidays worked as scheduled.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass drug screenings and background checks.
• CPR/Basic Life Support certification.

Nice To Haves

• American Red Cross certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document care in patients’ electronic health records.
• Provide basic nursing care, including assistance with activities of daily living, collection of routine specimens, and measurement of vital signs, intake, output, and weight.
• Perform procedures and treatments such as EKGs and point-of-care testing, and apply restraints and monitor patients’ responses to them and to constant observation.
• Perform tasks delegated by the Registered Nurse.
• Communicate routinely with the Registered Nurse and immediately report findings or concerns.
• Recognize problems, identify probable causes, and seek solutions through troubleshooting.
• Educate patients and family members to support their understanding of the care being provided.
