This is a Full Time Night Position. The role involves planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources. It requires strong prioritization and critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. The position adheres to triage, treatment, evaluation, and documentation guidelines, utilizing evidence-based practices to collaborate with the healthcare team for quality outcomes and coordinated patient care. This includes managing patient transfer, discharge, referral, and addressing spiritual/psychosocial support needs. The role also involves identifying communication barriers, evaluating learning needs of patients and/or families, and providing appropriate education. Effective delegation of patient care to ancillary personnel is expected, with potential for precepting student nurses and new hires. Practice must align with professional and ethical standards, including the ANA Code of Ethics and Colorado State Nurse Practice Act. The position also requires demonstrating caring attitudes and behaviors to develop therapeutic relationships and engage in patient and family teaching.
