About The Position

This position is for an Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurse (RN) working on a PRN basis. The role involves ensuring patient care areas are well-stocked, clean, and equipped. The nurse will respond to life-saving situations, discharge patients with individualized plans, report concerns to the Medical Provider, provide shift reports, document patient information, and administer medications and treatments according to nursing standards and policies.

Requirements

• RN License
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Current BLS and ACLS Required
• PALS/ENPC/TNCC within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Assures patient care areas, triage and waiting room are well stocked, and clean and equipment and supplies are available.
• Responds to life-saving situations based on nursing standards, policies, and procedures.
• Discharge patients utilizing individualized discharge plans.
• Reporting concerns or changes in the patient's condition to the Medical Provider.
• Gives report to the receiving nurse at shift change or with transfer or admission per policy.
• Document patient information completely and per policy.
• Administering prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques and per policy.
