About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Nurse Manager to lead clinical and operational functions within a high-acuity, fast-paced environment. This role is responsible for driving excellence in patient care, optimizing department performance, and fostering a collaborative, team-oriented culture. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership experience in the ED or ICU setting and demonstrates the ability to manage complex situations while developing and supporting nursing staff.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 60 days of hire
• NIH Stroke Scale certification within 90 days of hire
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 90 days of hire
• ATCN or TNCC certification within 6 months of hire
• Minimum 3+ years of recent acute care ED leadership experience (within the past year), including Charge Nurse experience OR Strong ICU Charge Nurse experience with leadership capability

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Emergency Department
• Lead, mentor, and support nursing staff, including charge nurses
• Ensure delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered care
• Manage patient flow, staffing, and resource allocation
• Conduct staff rounding, including occasional night shift engagement
• Address performance concerns and lead difficult conversations professionally
• Collaborate with hospital leadership and interdisciplinary teams
• Drive quality improvement, patient safety, and compliance initiatives
• Support staff engagement, development, and retention strategies
• Provide direct patient care as needed
