About The Position

This position is responsible for obtaining and verifying insurance and billing information for all types of insurance. The role involves self-auditing and reviewing charts/registrations daily for completeness, maintaining high accuracy levels (>95%). Additionally, the Emergency Access Rep prepares identification bracelets and paperwork used during patient care, communicates effectively in person and on the telephone, handles stress and makes decisions effectively, assists in training new employees, participates in departmental meetings, and demonstrates competence in core job functions. The role also involves addressing patient, family, and visitor needs and ensuring resolution of concerns. Department-specific duties include assisting Emergency Department staff with patient wayfinding and supporting nursing staff, as well as assisting the Communication Center staff with paging, monitoring hospital environmental and security alarms, and notifying the responsible department for corrective action. The role requires awareness of age-specific, cultural, spiritual, and physical patient needs.

Responsibilities
