About The Position

The Embedded Systems Engineer designs, develops, tests, and optimizes embedded firmware and software for electronic control systems and connected industrial products. The role includes real-time C/C++ application development, embedded system architecture, firmware implementation, device-driver development, debugging, and validation. The engineer integrates communications technologies such as CAN bus, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), and cellular connectivity, and works directly with target hardware and electronic components. Working collaboratively with electrical, firmware, hardware, and software engineers, the engineer supports PCB design and integration involving microcontrollers, sensors, and control circuitry; investigates hardware/software issues; conducts code reviews; and assesses system performance, reliability, security, and applicable standards. The role also includes technical documentation, product qualification, laboratory testing, field evaluations, deployment support, and continuous improvement of embedded platforms for temperature-control and IoT-enabled applications. This is a full-time, direct-hire position based 100% onsite in York, Pennsylvania, Monday through Friday, with half-day Fridays. The role is part of an engineering and manufacturing organization developing high-reliability temperature-control systems for specialized transportation, industrial applications, and demanding operating environments.
