About The Position

CACI is seeking a Spring 2027 Embedded Software Engineering Co-op to support software development in its Software Engineering department. The co-op will perform prototyping, coding, testing, scripting, and document generation. Software will be developed in C++, C#, C, and Python and run on various hardware platforms using Windows, Linux, or a real-time operating system (RTOS). Git with Bitbucket or GitLab will be used to track code changes, while Jira will be used to track tasks and defects. Code will be submitted for peer review before release, providing experience with production-quality software development. The candidate is ideally expected to join in January 2027 and continue through Summer 2027, working alongside experienced professionals who provide mentorship.

Requirements

• Be a current junior or senior pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
• Be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearance.
• Successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening.
• Have experience programming in C++ or C#.
• Have an interest in embedded programming and working with hardware.
• Understand Object-Oriented Design.

Nice To Haves

• Experience programming in Python.
• Experience using the Unified Modeling Language (UML).
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Previous internship, co-op, or other work experience.
