About The Position

Safran Trusted 4D is hiring an Embedded Software Engineer to join its product development team, which builds and enhances flagship timing products. The role focuses on developing embedded software for timeserver products, creating features, improving performance, and contributing to customer satisfaction. The engineer will collaborate with developers and product management, work with guidance from senior developers and team leaders, and participate in peer code reviews. The team is international, with significant presence in France and Spain.

The position is based in West Henrietta, New York, and follows a hybrid work policy requiring a minimum of three days in the office. The company prefers regular office presence and supports flexible working hours. The role offers the opportunity to work with Resilient Positioning, Navigation and Timing technology in an innovative, inclusive environment.

Requirements

• Proficiency in programming and scripting languages; C, Python, and Bash are ideal.
• Proficiency working in a Linux environment.
• Proficiency with revision control systems; Git is preferred.
• Ability to work with an international team using Agile methods.
• 2–5 years of experience in software development.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Linux system administration.
• Experience working with embedded systems.
• Experience with network timing protocols such as NTP and PTP.

Responsibilities
