About The Position

Safran Trusted 4D, Inc., part of Safran Electronics & Defense, is hiring an Embedded Software Engineer for its product development team. The team builds and enhances flagship timing products, including time servers, and develops precise timing solutions for defense and commercial applications. The engineer will develop embedded software, implement features, improve product performance, troubleshoot defects, and help meet customer requirements. The role works closely with developers, product management, senior developers, and team leaders, including colleagues on an international team with a significant presence in France and Spain. The position is based in West Henrietta, New York, with a hybrid work policy requiring at least three days in the office. Flexible working hours are supported.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in software development.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in a few programming and scripting languages; C, Python, and Bash are ideal.
• Proficiency working in a Linux environment.
• Proficiency with revision control systems, ideally Git.
• Ability to work with an international team using Agile methods.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Linux system administration.
• Experience working with embedded systems.
• Experience with network timing protocols such as NTP and PTP.

Responsibilities
