About The Position

The Embedded Software Engineer will be responsible for developing, executing, and maintaining validation tests for embedded control software. This role involves a significant focus on Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) test development and execution, test automation and scripting, and issue investigation and debugging. The position also requires team collaboration, reviews, and planning, with a typical task breakdown of 40% HIL/SIL test development and execution, 30% test automation and scripting, 20% issue investigation and debugging, and 10% team collaboration, reviews, and planning. The engineer will provide additional testing support for the team.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-4 years experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, software engineering or relevant field required
  • HIL/SIL Validation & Testing
  • dSPACE toolchain & MATLAB/Simulink
  • Python, gtest C++ Automation & Embedded Software Verification
  • Experience with CAN/J1939 communication protocols and Vector tools (CANoe/CANalyzer) for embedded systems testing and diagnostics
  • Experience in ECU integration, system-level verification, debugging, and root-cause analysis
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle, version control, and test automation framework development
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, perform hardware setup, and troubleshoot HIL/SIL test environments
  • Familiarity with diagnostics, fault injection, and validation reporting tools
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States
