About The Position
The Embedded Software Engineer will support a development team working on a ground-based aerospace navigation system. Engineers work within an Agile/Scrum team to develop, test, and validate software code. This position must be performed on-site at the Cedar Rapids, Iowa office. Multiple positions are available based on experience level. The work includes following DO-278 regulatory guidelines and holding teammates accountable for compliance.
Requirements
- Four-year degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or a similar field.
- Some object-oriented design or development experience.
- Experience working within a development team.
- At least 1 year of experience using C or C++.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with DO-178- or DO-278-compliant development.
- Some verification and validation experience.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
- Software documentation experience.
- Experience in operating-system migrations, particularly with real-time operating systems (RTOS).
- Some C# experience.
Responsibilities
- Work within an Agile/Scrum team.
- Develop software that meets the defined Definition of Done for assigned Agile stories.
- Collaborate with the team and Product Owner to provide feedback on story definition, sizing, and completeness.
- Follow DO-278 regulatory guidelines and hold teammates accountable for compliance.
- Test and validate software code.
