About The Position

The Embedded Software Engineer will develop real-time C/C++ embedded software for Linux or real-time operating systems running on multicore processors. The role is onsite full time in Orlando, Florida, on a 4/10A first shift schedule. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and hold an active Secret clearance with a most recent investigation within the last five years. The position is a non-exempt contract role running from 11/2/2026 to 11/5/2027, with compensation listed as $87.50 per hour.

Requirements

• Active Secret clearance with the most recent investigation within the last five years.
• U.S. citizenship.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• At least 5 years of C/C++ embedded real-time software development experience using Linux on multicore processors.
• At least 5 years of hands-on software/firmware integration experience.
• At least 3 years of experience with agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban, using GitLab and Bitbucket.

Nice To Haves

• Working knowledge of the Yocto operating system.
• Familiarity with Data Distribution System (DDS) middleware programming.
