About The Position

Applied Intuition is seeking Embedded Software Engineers with expertise in developing embedded software applications on production computers to build the next-generation vehicle platform. This is a unique opportunity to work on challenging engineering problems while being part of a fast-moving team. The role involves integrating vendor components into a common software framework, implementing real-time operating system (RTOS) applications, architecting and developing high-quality C code for real-time embedded environments (including safety-critical systems), supporting hardware bring-up with low-level debugging, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring up custom software on new devices, productionize it, and manage product maintenance.

Requirements

• BS/BA, MS, or PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related degree graduating by December 2026 or Summer 2027
• Strong background in embedded software development using C/C++ and assembly languages
• Ability to do low-level debugging on hardware to ensure complete system operation

Nice To Haves

• Proven ability as a self-starter and can quickly become comfortable with new technical tools
• Experience taking initiative in a fast-paced environment
• Hands-on experience with RTOS and middleware applications
• Ability to work with safety critical robotic systems with real time constraints

Responsibilities

• Integrate vendor components into a common software framework, ensuring proper low-level communication (e.g., CAN, LIN, I2C, SPI, UART etc.)
• Implement real-time operating system (RTOS) applications as required for the product
• Architect and develop high-quality C code for real-time embedded environments, including safety critical systems
• Support hardware bring-up, including low level debug of board and SoC
• Work with cross-functional teams to bring up custom software on new devices, productionize it, and manage the process for maintaining company products
