Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience with high-level programming languages such as C++ or Java, or similar.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or bash, or similar.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Linux and the command line interface.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git or Rational Clearcase.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience with build systems such as Cmake
  • Familiarity with software debugging and troubleshooting tools (e.g. gdb, Wireshark, tcpdump).

Responsibilities

  • Assist in software integration and testing under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Conduct basic software integration, system testing, and debugging in lab environments.
  • Execute test plans, procedures, and scripts to validate software functionality and performance.
  • Participate in Agile software development practices and contribute to smaller tasks
  • Analyze and resolve software/hardware interface issues during software integration.
  • Document integration processes, test results, and troubleshooting steps to ensure knowledge transfer and system traceability.
  • Learn and apply programming and scripting skills in a controlled setting.
  • Acquire domain specific knowledge in areas such as signal processing, resource management, hardware/software integration procedures, or electro-optical infrared systems
