About The Position

This role involves the design, development, and testing of Wi-Fi software features for Comcast Wi-Fi gateway/extender products. The developer will work with vendors to integrate Wi-Fi chipset solutions, provide technical assistance to other teams for troubleshooting customer Wi-Fi issues, and develop new Wi-Fi features on the RDKB platform. The position requires strong C/C++ programming skills, a deep understanding of Linux operating systems, and knowledge of TCP/IP internals and common network protocols.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of IEEE802.11 protocol
• Experience and knowledge on IEEE802.11/Wi-Fi protocols such as WPA, RADIUS, WPS, 802.11n/ac/ax
• Hands-on experience on C/C++ programming
• Strong knowledge of Linux Operating systems
• Hands-on experience working in Linux environment
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP internals and common network protocols such as DHCP, DNS, HTTP
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of Source version control tools like git, GitHub etc.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Embedded Software Development using C/C++
• Understanding of RDKB
• Understanding of IEEE802.11 protocol
• Strong knowledge of Linux Operating systems

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and testing of Wi-Fi software feature for Comcast Wi-Fi gateway/extender product
• Work with vendors to integrate Wi-Fi chipset solutions
• Provide technical assistance to other teams to trouble shoot customer Wi-Fi issues
• Work on development of new Wi-Fi features on RDKB platform
• Work on design and implementation of RDKB features, bug fixes and troubleshooting
• Coordinating with offshore team members
• Presenting weekly status reports to stakeholders
