About The Position

Connected Warfare builds the systems that give warfighters a decisive edge in real time — command and control platforms like the Menace Family-of-Systems that fuse sensor data, communications, and autonomy into deployable hardware that works in contested environments. The firmware team is where the product meets reality. We write the code that runs closest to the hardware — the drivers, the protocols, the real-time control loops that make these systems work when it matters. If a new board comes in, we bring it to life. If something breaks at the hardware-software boundary, we find it and fix it. We move fast, ship often, and work directly alongside Electrical Engineering on some of the most complex autonomous systems being built anywhere. We're looking for a firmware engineer who wants to grow their embedded skills on hardware that ships to the field. You'll write real-time microcontroller code, build reusable drivers for sensors and peripherals, and debug the cross-disciplinary problems that live between schematics and software. You'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with electrical engineers, learn to read schematics and datasheets, and see your code running on deployed systems within months of writing it. This is a role for someone who wants to build — not maintain — and who's excited about owning real firmware on real hardware from day one.

Requirements

  • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent industry experience
  • 1+ years of firmware or embedded software development experience (internships and personal projects count if the work is real)
  • Solid C coding ability for embedded systems
  • Experience developing firmware in bare-metal or RTOS environments
  • Familiarity with common bus protocols (SPI, I2C, UART, or similar)
  • Willingness to learn — you don't need to know everything, but you need to be hungry to figure it out
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with one or more microcontroller cores (ARM, AVR, MSP430, PIC, etc.)
  • Experience integrating microcontrollers with analog and digital sensors
  • Debugging experience with JTAG, SWD, oscilloscopes, or logic analyzers
  • Familiarity with CAN, Ethernet, USB, RS232, or RS485
  • Personal or academic projects that show you build things — not just coursework

Responsibilities

  • Write firmware in C for microcontrollers across Connected Warfare platforms
  • Develop and integrate reusable device drivers for sensors, peripherals, and communication interfaces
  • Debug issues that span electrical, firmware, and software boundaries using bench tools and embedded debugging techniques
  • Support board bring-up alongside the Electrical Engineering team — reviewing schematics, validating interfaces, and getting new hardware running
  • Contribute to firmware architecture decisions as the codebase grows
  • Ship code to production systems that are deployed in the field

Benefits

  • Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
  • top-tier benefits for full-time employees
