About The Position

At Honeywell Aerospace, the Embedded Engineer develops and implements the software of embedded devices and systems. They are also responsible for the analysis and monitoring of the efficiency and stability of a system. They develop and implement embedded devices and systems and support software quality assurance while optimizing I/O performance. The Embedded Software Engineer develops codes, tests, and troubleshoots system software. They are the designers of the first layer of code that runs on a device and need a full comprehension of its hardware.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of embedded systems and software development principles.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++.
  • Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS).
  • Knowledge of hardware-software interaction.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with embedded Linux.
  • Familiarity with microcontrollers and embedded hardware.
  • Knowledge of software development tools and methodologies (e.g., Git, Agile).
  • Previous internship or co-op experience in a related field.
