About The Position

Reporting to the Manager, Lifecycle & Performance Marketing, you will help bring campaigns to life and ensure their successful delivery. You will be focused on the management, coordination, and operations of our 1:1 communications channels (email, SMS). You will sit at the intersection of several departments (Marketing, CRM, Ticketing, Memberships, Global Partnerships) to guide the work of internal collaborators and external agency partners. You will need to manage a wide range of requests from a complex business while simultaneously guiding stakeholders towards best practices. You will be accountable for campaign quality, operational efficiency, and improving the return on marketing investment.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in lifecycle marketing, CRM, email marketing, marketing operations, digital marketing, or a related field, with hands-on experience executing customer communications.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or a comparable marketing automation platform, including building, testing, scheduling, and deploying email and/or SMS campaigns.
  • Experience working within the Salesforce ecosystem, with an understanding of CRM data, audience segmentation, customer attributes, and how data is used to power personalized communications.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns, stakeholders, deadlines, and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, with experience testing and reviewing campaigns prior to deployment.
  • Comfortable working with data and performance metrics, including analyzing campaign results, conducting A/B tests, and translating insights into opportunities for improvement.
  • Understanding of audience segmentation, personalization, customer journeys, lifecycle marketing principles, and email/SMS best practices; familiarity with CASL
  • A collaborative and curious mindset, with strong communication skills and the confidence to guide stakeholders toward best practices and identify opportunities to improve campaign execution and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a high volume of communication requests across multiple brands, ensuring all projects are delivered on time, on budget, and aligned with the original brief.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for initiating project kickoffs and campaign launches, developing schedules based on overarching calendar strategies and manage feedback loops and approval processes to ensure smooth project deployment.
  • Review and refine project briefs, copy, assets, and creative standards in collaboration with the Specialist, Lifecycle & Performance Marketing and stakeholders to ensure alignment with brand guidelines and performance marketing best practices.
  • Assist the Specialist, Lifecycle & Performance Marketing by analyzing and incorporating past performance data, collecting and interpret key performance metrics to generate operational insights and identify opportunities to optimize ROI and overall effectiveness.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to deeply understand business needs, propose proactive solutions, and ensure clear and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Stay informed on key compliance requirements, including CASL, PIPEDA, data privacy, anti-spam legislation, and social media protocols, ensuring all practices meet legal and ethical standards.
  • Crafting compelling email copy, including subject lines, body content, and calls to action (CTAs). This may involve working closely with marketing, design, or other teams to ensure messaging aligns with overall brand goals and campaigns.
  • Working with email design tools or developers to create visually appealing and mobile-responsive email templates. This could involve basic HTML or using drag-and-drop email platforms like Mailchimp, HubSpot, or others.
  • Testing different subject lines, content layouts, or call-to-action buttons to improve open rates and engagement. Analyzing the results of A/B tests and adjusting email strategies accordingly.
  • Ensuring that emails are free from errors, including spelling, grammar, and formatting. Double-checking that all links work, and images display correctly, and that the overall email meets quality standards.
  • Coordinating the timing of email campaigns based on audience time zones, optimal send times, and campaign deadlines. Ensuring that emails are sent out on time and without errors.
  • Managing and updating email lists to ensure recipients are correctly segmented. This includes removing or adding contacts, ensuring compliance with opt-in and opt-out regulations, and adhering to data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR).
  • Monitoring email performance (open rates, click-through rates, bounce rates, etc.) using analytics tools and providing reports on campaign effectiveness. Using this data to optimize future email campaigns.
  • Ensuring that emails are delivered successfully to recipients' inboxes and not marked as spam. This may involve adjusting sender reputation or working with email service providers to resolve deliverability issues.
