About The Position

The ELSP Production Operator supports the unit in achieving production targets by following established systems and processes. The position uses machinery and equipment on the shop floor and requires reading and interpreting technical diagrams and instructions for assembling products, systems, or panels. The role is onsite in ABB’s Smart Power division in Mebane, North Carolina, and reports to the Production Supervisor.

Requirements

• Authorized to work legally in the United States.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Practical experience with applicable software.
• Ability to communicate in English, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Assemble semi-finished or final products, systems, or panels, including packing when integrated with production lines.
• Perform work manually or with light hand tools.
• Conduct regular quality testing as part of a defined production process.
• Follow standard operating procedures and maintain a clean work area.
• Use shop-floor machinery and equipment and read and interpret technical diagrams and assembly instructions.
