About The Position

The ELSP Production Operator supports the production unit in achieving its targets by following established systems and processes. The role uses machinery and equipment on the shop floor and requires reading and interpreting technical diagrams and instructions for assembling products, systems, or panels. This onsite position contributes to ABB’s Smart Power division in Mebane, North Carolina.

Requirements

• Be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Have strong interpersonal skills.
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Have practical experience with applicable software.
• Be comfortable communicating in English, both in writing and verbally.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assembly work to produce semi-finished or final products, systems, or panels, including packing when integrated with production lines.
• Perform work manually or with light hand tools.
• Carry out regular quality testing as part of a defined production process.
• Follow standard operating procedures and maintain a clean work area.
• Use shop-floor machinery and equipment.
• Read and interpret technical diagrams and assembly instructions.
