About The Position

Community Youth Ministries (CYM) of Reedley, CA is looking to hire a part-time ELP Paraeducator. This position earns $19.71- $22.71/hour, depending on position and/or experience. CYM started in 1992 as a collaborative effort of 15 local churches to provide positive alternate activities for area youth. CYM is a 501(c)(3) that partners with local organizations, schools, and churches to empower and strengthen youth through various programs including after school programming. CYM serves youth in multiple cities throughout California's San Joaquin Valley, including Reedley, Orange Cove, Dinuba, South West Fresno, and Caruthers. Currently, CYM runs 17 after-school programs in the Kings Canyon Unified School District. CYM is passionate advocates for youth, upholding a culture of integrity, kindness, and responsibility. Requirements

Paraeducator certificate OR 48+ completed college units
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Punctual and reliable
Ability to resolve conflicts in a positive and restorative manner
Team player
Positive attitude
Knack for managing groups of children
Organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively
Fingerprint clearances from DOJ & FBI

Responsibilities

Facilitate the physical, social, and emotional growth of students through after-school programming.
Provide age-appropriate enrichment activities in a wide array of subjects.
Build positive relationships with and between students.
Ensure a safe environment during after-school hours.
